New series of Top Gear starts tonight!

And apparently, the Stig's identity will be unveiled...

I'm trying not to get too excited about that as it'll probably be someone I've never heard of and therefore an extreme anti-climax. But I'm getting plenty excited about another few weeks of the best show on TV. :bounce:

1. Don't count on it actually being the "real" Stig.

I've heard it's going to be Schumacher. If I were Top Gear's producer, I'd unmask Stig as someone completely ridiculous like Jordan or Jools Holland.

3. I won't restate who it is

but allegedly Stiggy was exposed earlier this year. I'm with the crowd that thinks there are a couple Stigs. For example, I don't think our Tame Racing Driver is the same guy that took the snowmobile down the ski jump during the Winter Olympics episode. I always thought he might be Tom Chilton, since he always seemed to turn up on Top Gear's events with other touring car drivers.

Mansell is, however, the ONLY F1 driver that takes the same line through the first corner as Stig in the Reasonably Priced Car.

4. yup that was my clue as well, also it would appeal to mansells sense of humour

but they definetly have different stigs on the show, kinda hope they dont ever reveal who it is.

Of course, since I did some unfortunate experimental work with bittorrents the other night (FAIL), I'm gonna have to wait till somebody puts up a streaming video. That'll mean I'll have to wait till...SOB!...Tuesday or something.

Also looking forward to finding the video of James May on the Moon somewhere online...gods willing... *insert praying smiley here*

8. Ohhhhh I'm so jealous

Did you get it from Final Gear? I tried to download an ep from season 12 off Final Gear using Bittorrent for Mac and it said it was going to take 1 day, 4 hours. And it hogged our bandwidth so bad we couldn't do anything else. I finally had to kill it. :(

9. Yep. Now I'm seeding it like a good torrent monkey.

It took around an hour or so. I tried a few torrent programs, but none seemed to work efficiently for me. I use uTorrent now, and haven't had any problems with it. No idea if it works with the Mac.

10. Next best thing

Charged into YouTube and watched somebody's upload of it before it got yanked. I even let MG Jr. stay up late to watch the entire thing before the segments disappeared. (That makes me either a very good mama or a very bad mama...) He was SOOOOO excited to see the Stig take his helmet off!

Anyway, exceptional season premiere! Just great!

Now if only I could find streaming vids of Mr. May's moon programs... x(
