Help! I continued watching "High School Musical 2" even after my daughter fell asleep last night

what's wrong with me? And, it's even worse, I know that Ashley Tisdale plays spoiled rich girl Sharpay in the high school musical movies and also working class girl Maddie on "The Suite Life with Zach & Cody"

Can I be cured? But, Vanessa Hudgens & Zac Efron are just so darn appealing.

1. The HSM franchise is good harmless fun

and Ashley Tisdale is hot! Vanessa Hudgens isn't bad either.

I've told this story here before. Last September, we took our daughters to see Corbin Bleu(Zach Efron's guy buddy in the HSM movies) at the Clay County Fair in Spencer, IA. Corbin comes out and asks the audience who is voting for the first time, and talks about how important this election is for young people and how everyone should vote. But he doesn't say who he'll vote for, and goes on to perform a song I've come to love called "Moments that Matter." So flash forward a few minutes: the main show is over, and the audience is yelling for an encore. Corbin comes out to perform a song called "Marching (to the beat of my own drum)", and he's made a costume change -- he's wearing a "Barack N Roll" shirt. The family -- all donned in "Change" stickers & buttons we'd gotten from the local party booth -- cheered loudly.

4. yes, I saw her on some magazine cover in a bikini

and did a double take and said, "holy cow, that's maddie?" ... I had not seen any of the HSM movies at the time.

2. Be cured?

For what? The movies were great (though we haven't seen HSM3) and the songs were very catchy. And we watch Suite Life. (Though the On Deck one isn't much fun without Mom and Maddie.)

3. It just felt weird

that I kept watching the movie after she fell asleep, though I did flip back & forth with "Equilibrium" on Sci-fi.
