Still, as with most comedians, his best work is in his straight/semi-straight roles. Roxanne is perhaps his best movie ever.

5. Agreed, Roxanne was something special...

...it required a degree of "naked honesty" that many actors couldn't have handled. A little to the right or left and it could have been one sappy, syrup-y role...but he pulled it off.
