Has anyone used Bing yet? What do you think of it?
Bing is Microsoft's attempt to out do Google.

Bing
Bing is a search engine that finds and organizes the answers you need so you can make faster, more informed decisions.

I find it cluttered and don't see anything new or better about it, how about any of you?

Since I've used it, I keep wondering what I am missing - what is microsoft offering? (It can't be looks, it is ugly and cluttered imho.)

5. I'm not seeing what is "new" about it.
Like you, if I get stuck or if it some big issue, I may use bing after I've googled.

7. I am thinking Microsoft is going to find people are creatures of habit
and that they are going to have a hard time attracting new users. I think most computer users have developed their search patterns already and are not eager to change.

11. Before google, other search engines existed -
we actually went with the new when we started relying on google.

I still use Alta Vista from time to time.

From what I can tell, bing offers nothing new.

17. Yeah I rember using dog pile and yahoo and Alta Vista
When Google came it, it was so much better and brought back such better results that it became my number one (I use yahoo as my number 2). I think that's how Google succeeded, it was worth changing because it was so much better. With Bing, it might be a little better (or worse) than Google, but that will not get many people to change things up.

18. I don't see anything new
nothing that makes bing better, so you are right - Google has nothing to fear.

After all, when did you ever hear or read "did you Alta Vista it?".

4. I like it. Seems fresher than Google to me.
There are a lot more features so I can see how it seems cluttered to you. If you just want to do a straight quick search Google is probably the way to go but Bing looks pretty cool.

Like what - what do I need to go back and look for that I overlooked?

I probably missed a lot.

23. Looks like you can do more specific searches

and just the way it's set up allows you to search different ways than I think Google does - which could be a time eater hence the "cluttered" comment from me.

Looks like it's connected with MSN, they're using it on their homepage as the default search. That's good to know - I'll use that if Google fucks up theirs again.

It's brighter and has more colorful pages and looks more user freindly and less serious than Google. Plus I like the name. I can so see people saying Bing in the same way they say Google. I binged it, go bing it etc.

I bookmarked, I'ma use it for awhile and see what I think then.

The search parameters don't touch Google's.

24. I use it, mainly because I've got a Google redirector bug I can't fix.
I was hoping it would have fewer of the commercial sites then Google, but I haven't noticed it yet. I guess one day I'll do a side-by-side.

28. Malware. When you click on a link in Google, it redirects you to another page
than the one Google was showing. Usually some form of commercial website, where I guess they are hoping you don't notice you didn't follow the original link in Google. Pain in the butt.

29. ick!
*knock on wood* I've never had that happen.

I use firefox and the ads aren't that bad now.

I can't stand to go to HuffPost though, they have so much extra stuff and ads and links that it takes the page too long to open, far too many scripts.
