Kind of good new/bad news kind of weekend
On the up side? Someone who believes in my loaned me the $$ to buy the software I need to become a Pro-Advisor for Quickbooks. Once I'm certified, that will open many, many doors. I also met a woman through ewoman.com (a linkedup type site for women) who has a practice identical to the one I want to have. She's been very supportive and has given me terrific advice. So I hope by the end of the month, I'll be certified.

My daughter graduates from Ohio State tomorrow. :-)

I fell down the concrete porch steps carrying meat to the grill and fell. There's a good chance I broke a bone in my right foot. I was out playing soccer, frisbee and football with my cousin's kids and fall going down stairs... :-(

I hope I can make it to the ceremony tomorrow.

1. Oh, sweetheart...
:-(

How much pain are you in?

I should stop typing now; I won't say anything that won't sound really stupid...

Please get better soon!... :loveya:

My cousin was here and she's a pediatric nurse practitioner. She said where it's probably broken (it's the joint) isn't an area that can be treated. Just wear wide shoes, use ice and stay off it. Damn. :-(

3. Oh, lizziegrace. What a mix of great and awful.
The bad stuff is just your never-ending companion, but the good stuff is sounding really good. Lelapin got a great push from you and is off to a great future, and you've set yourself up well.

Those bones will heal. Hope you can work with the pain for the weekend and give yourself some TLC when everyone's gone.

5. STOP HURTING YOURSELF!!!!
Some of us have a great gift for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. When I was taking a bar review course, studying for my bar exam, I remember a great lecturer telling us that the biggest enemy we had to defeat in this very difficult undertaking was "the will to fail."

It's so much stronger than the will to succeed, and we go out of our way to sabotage ourselves in the most extreme ways.

Slow down, be careful, think before you move, and enjoy all the good stuff while you're healing. And stop hurting yourself.

You deserve all these good things. You do ............................

8. Thank you...
I have ADD that seems to be getting worse as I get older. The chaos and confusion here today must have been more than my brain could process. Lots of family here and some tension between me and my parents. It will all work out. I just proved with the meat tray and steps that I can't walk, talk and carry things. ;-)

Your advice means a lot to me.

10. Your grace means a lot to me ................
I feel rather blessed to know that there are people like you out there.

Thank you, and enjoy. A kid's graduation from college is a BIG deal for everyone.

Take a bow, Mom..............

11. Oh! LizzieGrace!

I hope you are okay. You have to stop getting hurt. :(

I hope the software certification happens smoothly, and I hope some really good opportunities come right behind it. I hope the contacts and relationships you're forming really help.

And, I hope the flowers arrived and were beautiful.

The ones I wanted to send weren't available at the last minute so I have no idea what arrangement they substituted. I really hope it was beautiful. LadyofRabbits deserves a beautiful graduation party.
