I think I finally found what would be the perfect Job for me.
Now of course you got to like your job, so factoring in what I would like to do, and still being able to contribute to something that makes that contribution worthy of compensation is not always easy to figure out.

But I think I figured it out.

First I have always wanted to travel, and my favorite travel show is "No Reservations" with that witty New York food critic. If I was to travel, going around having dinners with average people, (not in gluttony), but just sharing meals with average people around the world, would be my idea of the best way to travel.

But I do not have his palette or skill in food review, I really could not be a food critic per-say, not really a skill I have learned.

However, there is still a way to do it.

Here it is.

I should get a job as a traveling diplomats food taster! There it is, the perfect job, you would get to meet lots of cooks and servers, average people, you would not have to worry about the complexity of formal dinners, nor have to worry about commenting on things. You would just get to sample all the great dishes from around the world, while meeting lots of normal people in many countries!

Brilliant!

The perfect job!

Unfortunately I don't think it is a real job anymore, I might be living a few years late for that job to still exist. Which is a bummer, sigh... But maybe they still got food tasters, if so,

Here is my resume.

In many pool tournaments I have had cigarette ashes flick in my beer, (losers do it to create stomach cramps in opponents)

I have had drugs put in drinks.

During a time when I was smeared by some vigilantes, I have had unspeakable stuff put in my food, causing sickness.

Been put in a head lock and given an injection in neck at one time.

Had a girlfriend put Vicodin in a drink she mixed for me, (that was real bad, started spinning and almost didn't get rid of it fast enough.)

I also have a very high tolerance for alcohol so I could even have drinks with meals without any negative effects to job performance!

I have spent years eating at greasy spoon restaurants, and even fast food places.

Probably more stuff if I think about it.

Anyway if the state department still hires food tasters, I am not only well qualified, but eager to serve :patriot:

Anyone else think food taster would be a great job! That would be so awesome!

And yes, this is a tongue and cheek type of comment, but I think its funny and still makes some odd sort of sense
