My precious granddaughter Ella is in hospital, she's 3 yrs old.

They don't know why her body isn't absorbing sugar. Don't know if I'm explaining it right but her glucose levels are dangerously low and they don't know why.

They're running lots of tests and TRYING to get her to eat. She hasn't eaten much in about 7 days.

Her blood sugar drops within 20 minutes of the IV being stopped.

I'm so worried but I know she has good Dr's. I'm going to be there in a week and can't get there sooner.

Ashley is spending the entire night with Ella and Adam is there all day.


Can you find it in you to send a few good vibes to Ontario, Canada.. right to Ella :)

I think I saw a story about this very condition on "Mystery Diagnosis" on the Discovery Channel recently. Maybe you could find some info there. That case was about a little boy. I can't remember what the boy's diagnosis was, but I do believe it was treatable.

I talked with Adam and he is hoping Ella may be able to go home tomorrow. We're keeping our fingers crossed for the best. Ashley said they did a test that had to be sent away and they'll have the results back in 3 or so days.

I'm praying she's going to be healthy and unscathed by this.

I would give my life and everything in it for this darling girl.

I just spoke to Ashley and they are heading out of the hospital.

Ella has hypoglycemia brought on by a virus!

She's back to her old self today, blood sugar normal!!!
