You just never know.
While in Walgreens today, I found something neat: An Obama baseball cap. It had the full-color Obama logo embroidered on it with his name beneath it also embroidered in bold white lettering and Obama is printed again on the back strap that adjusts for size. Across one edge of the bill, the words "Our 44th President" are embroidered. Considering the location (Harrison, AR), I wasn't surprised to find it on sale. I bought it and wore it proudly all day expecting to rile a few folks. I got only one comment and that was a compliment! Oh well...

1. Though, and because, there are crappy happenings here and abroad
I reckon most moderate rpblcns are subliminally, if not consciously, relieved that we have an intelligent president.

3. Most Republicans I know do not use the word, nor can they spell
subliminal, but I hope you are correct about their being relieved about an intelligent President.

2. Since the election
I have only had one person make a negative comment for wearing an Obama Tshirt. I went to my ex-husbands house (in Alabama), and his wife (a fundie) said "Hey, you cant come in here with that shirt on", but she did open the door. She just said "I really dont like him", I said "I really do" and that was the end of it.

Before the election, I had a lot of bad looks and many negative comments (in Texas).

4. You don't suppose they are finally growing up, do you? Nah, that
can never happen. Maybe getting used to the idea. One step at a time.
