I'm watching the Life After People series and now I want to explore all the abandoned towns
that are apparently scattered around the world. I'd love to see what was left behind, what old books, photos, maps, etc that could still be in these old, abandoned communities.

1. I would like to explore American towns that are slowly dying
I would like to see the revival of these towns with people that are sick of city life and would like to build communities. I know it's a pipe dream...

2. The rural midwest is loaded with them
I was in Ulysses, Nebraska. There are people in the town, but all of the small downtosn is boarded. There used to be a railroad maintenance shop. When it closed, the town pretty much dried up.

4. I wish they would go WAY into the future and show what species takes our place...
... at the top of the food chain. Discovery had a show about that once. They said it would be Cephalopods. They had some other cool species that would evolve though, like enormous, dinosaur-like turtles.
