Tried the home made Red Ale
last night that was brewed in early May. It is still a bit young but in two weeks it should be ready! Very consistent all the way to finish and it has a very nice amber colour to it. Now it just needs a little more carbonation and it will be stellar.
That is the beer report for the day.

1. Did you keg it or bottle it?
I don't bottle beer anymore. It's far easier to keg it.

If you do bottle it, what's your finishing sugar of choice?

2. Bottle
I don't know if I will master the barrel or not? It was my first attempt in 20+ years.

3. I'm telling you
Once you go kegging, you never go back. The only, and I mean ONLY, downside is portability. But I get drunk on my porch typically so I don't have to worry about it.

4. another porch drunkard
portability will not be an issue for me either. I know somebody that does an October fest every year with 9-12 2-5 gallon barrels he brews up so it would bet it would not be difficult to get advice on it.
Cheers!

6. +1
I usually bottle a six pack for entry to the county fair. Otherwise it's kegged and I use a carbonator cap with a 2 liter soda bottle to take some to parties.
