I am compelled to clear up some inaccuracies concerning user names.

I know the back story on how the following user names were chosen. I have received Snowball's permission to post this.

1) The name "Snowball" is based upon a personal (and actually heartwarming) story about a snowman Beanie Baby named Snowball. This Beanie was shown in her avatar until recently. Her screen name is also loosely based on a character in George Orwell's 1984 (see her sig line). There are spaces between the letters of her name because there is also another user named Snowball.

2) The name "fingerpop" is an old saying that my family has been using for at least 40 years. I have always thought that it was a type of dance, but I only just recently found out from my mom that it means snapping your fingers in time with music.

A few people have recently pointed out that both these names represent a sexual act in the urban dictionary.

Well, I could probably look up any word in the urban dictionary, and it would represent a sexual act.

There are probably better sources for some words than the urban ditionary...perhaps the best source might be to ask he person how they chose their name.

I thought your name had to do with the swing-era action of snapping your fingers and Snowball has that Orwell quote in her sigline. But the hypocrisy of clutching pearls over your usernames possibly being "porn names" by some on this board who post an awful lot of sexual innuendo, and the complaints that YOU spam the lounge (isn't that an oxymoron, anyway - spamming the Lounge?) was a little unbelievable to me.

I hope those of you who can't get along will just ignore each other and I can enjoy the silly and the "good" arguing that I come to this website for!

For those who haven't seen the documentary, a girl explains how she listens to only Christian music because she enjoys music and dancing, but doesn't want the devil to get to her and force her to "dance for the flesh" (which is seriously the only fun way to dance IMO. I watched it while commenting on it here in the lounge so Bibaby came up with the "fleshdancer" nickname for moi. It makes me laugh.

That dictionary is creepy....I've only seen it once before when someone made reference to a user's name a few months ago with the link. Guess your name proves a point...anything can be twisted...much to the delight of others.
