Does anybody know anything about the website "Tagged"?
I got an email this morning from my college roommate via "Tagged". The message said to click in to see photos she sent. I clicked in and the next thing I knew my entire email list was hijacked. Messages were sent out from me inviting the addressees to view photos I had sent (I sent nothing). I sent out a global email to my list telling people to ignore the "Tagged" email from me.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

3. snopes just had an article about it
it's not a virus distribution system; it basically craws through your email list and sends stuff to everyone. To what end, I don't know, except perhaps advertising.

Then again, they may just have very well hidden viruses

5. Strangely enough, I received one of those yesterday.
I checked with the "sender" and they said they didn't send it so...when in doubt hit delete.

Here's the snopes topic http://www.snopes.com/computer/internet/Tagged.asp

6. If I believed in Hell
I'd like to think there's a special and completely awful level of Hell reserved just for the worst of Spammers, Phishers, e-Marketers, and pyramid/ponzi schemers.

7. Got one of those this morning.
Luckily I mostly check my email through my ISP's website and it doesn't include the links so I was saved that hassle. Thanx for posting this so I knew I could just delete it. :hi:

8. STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!!
It hijacks your address book. It happened to a friend of mine and fortunately, I didn't get infected because allegedly it only hijacks from aol, gmail, msn, yahoo and some others.

Erase the email and do not reply when they start hounding you to sign up. I blocked them.

9. I read something this morning about that.

Basically the same thing happened to them. I was going to say "Don't click on it" but I guess it is too late for that. I am guessing most people probably click on it and that's how it perpetuates itself. No reputable internet company would do these things.

And actually, I think the damage came when the person signs up for this service.

10. I got one of those yesterday.
Supposedly from a guy I used to work with. I doubt if he sent it. He just moved from State to EPA, and all I have is his new work addy. But I'll check tomorrow.

12. I just received one this morning.
I deleted it. However, after reading this thread, I went in and let everyone in my contacts know and gave them the link. I also let the person whose account sent the email what had happened.

Thanks for this OP! :hi:
