This morning, I spoke with Katrina Swett, a human right activist and the daughter of the late congressman Tom Lantos. She wants to bring this petition to the attention of Democrats around the country.
Amnesty International USA and the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights and Justice hope that you will add your voice to those asking for justice and human rights in China:
On 3-4 June, 1989, hundreds of unarmed Chinese civilians calling for democracy were killed and countless others injured and detained by the Chinese authorities. Amnesty International's Secretary General Irene Khan has sent an open letter to Wu Bangguo, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China urging him to initiate an open and independent inquiry that will investigate the 1989 crackdown.
Add your voice by signing our petition and join us in calling for justice and accountability in Chinahttp://www.protectthehuman.com/tiananmen
