1. FUCK OFF!
Just kidding. Seemed like an appropriate snarky response.

Have a GREAT DAY!

2. Are you feeling better?
And, are you sick and tired of the rain yet? :hi:

3. Yes and Yes
Edited on Fri Jun-05-09 08:47 AM by LynneSin
I was worried I'd have to go in for more testing but the anti-biotics are finally doing their job.

And the rain sucks. My backyard looks like a jungle back there but I'm never at home when there is actual sunshine that allows me to mow.

How are you doing today? I know we were all stressed the past few days but I'm hoping that things will clear up and return to normal so to speak.

:pals:

4. I had just enough of a break in the rain to mow yesterday - JUNGLE is RIGHT!
I had to keep a screwdriver with me to unclog the discharge chute every couple of minutes - and that was with the wheels on the highest setting! And I just mowed less than a week ago! It is raining again now.

My eldest daughter's commencement was supposed to be at the HS stadium tonight, but it looks like they'll be moving it to the gym with closed-circuit for the spill-over. She was clearly disappointed when I took her in for rehearsal this morning.

5. I Am VERY Optimistic
Recent upbeat economic reports have made me much more optimistic.

For me, the HOPE that I had when I voted for President Obama is beginning to be realized. I hoped that, after eight long dreary years of tyranny under the nightmare known as the corrupt and totally illegal Bush/Cheney regime of thugs and cronies, we would have a President who understood the needs of the common people.

And indeed, our much beloved President, Barack Obama, has taken bold steps in several directions to bring us to a New Historic Era of peace, PROSPERITY, gender equality, justice, and love.

The recent upbeat economic reports demonstrated to anyone with half a brain that the crony-based economy of Bush/Cheney -- desgined to line the pockets of rich corporate thugs at places like Haliburton -- drove our country to the brink of economic disaster. It is ONLY because we now have a President who truly is committed to economic justice for ALL people that we can all have Hope for a brighter future for ALL people!

Can we Hope for a prosperous future for ALL -- and not just the well-connected?

YES WE CAN!!

6. Dude, you're in the lounge
And the environment is not looking forward to a prosperous future, neither are the gays. Though, I fully expect to survive the presidency no worse or better off than before, I can't say the same for the environment. He's continuing all the Bush policies on that it seems.

8. I'm Not A "Dude"
I am not a "dude".

I'm sorry to hear that you don't share my feelings of hope and optimism about the future.

But I am glad to know that you expect to survive the presidency no worse or better off than before.

I'm sure you'll agree with me that most of the Americans who managed to survive the eight-year-long nightmare known as the Bush/Cheney misadministration ended up far worse off than before. So just keeping even during President Obama's administration will be better than living under the tyrannical reign of Bush/Cheney.

10. I call everyone "Dude" -- it doesn't have to be gender specific
Edited on Fri Jun-05-09 09:38 AM by HarukaTheTrophyWife
Unless, I'm referring to two or more peope, then it's "you guys," also gender non-specific.

Yeah, I expect to get through this no worse or better off, with no more rights than before (at least on a national level).

However, I can't say the same for our the wolves out west or the mountains of Kentucky and West Virginia, amongst other natural treasures.

Does it drive her nuts as much as I drive my wife nuts when I call her dude?

She always says 'I am not a dude' to which I reply 'Everyone's a little bit dude'.

9. Exactly!
We do have a very long way to go -- Bush/Cheney put us into a deep, deep pit (including, for many people, a deep deep profoundly deep pit of despair).

But President Obama has changed the direction -- he is taking us up -- out of the pit.

And that gives me tremendous hope and optimism!

15. A new day? Didn't we have one of these yesterday?
and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that...

Yes it is a chance for a do-over for as much as we want it and as much as we can attain it.

16. You know what I'd like to do?
I'd like to begin the day with a friendly voice, a companion unobtrusive. Plays that song that's so elusive and the magic music makes your morning mood.

ok, makes sense.

No, Pittsburgher's bashing is generally limited to Cinncinnati and Cleveland with a new special place for Baltimore.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Have a great weekend everyone.

23. It's one of those personal regional insults some of us just ignore as the immature crap it is.
Us grown-ups never engage in stupid stuff like that, even against the Super Bowl-winnless Igglet fans. 5-0!!!

Sorry, you'll catch on.
