I currently have five kittens tearing ass around my house.
My son took in the litter of the feral Momma cat that lives under our deck, and Momma, too. He is trying to find homes for them with friends, co-workers and school mates, but in the meanwhile we have a large cage to put them in. They have a nice little room for themselves, with all the niceties.

They woke up a few minutes ago, and were all giving me the fish eye from behind bars, so I thought I'd let them out to run around a bit.

Bad idea.

Now, we already have three adult cats, and two that are nine months old and not much more than kittens themselves. I just gave them five new playmates to raise hell with.

It looks like a furry Indianapolis 500 as they go streaking by, running in circles from the front room, to the kitchen, to the family room, back to the front room again.

I hope they wear themselves out soon. I'm getting dizzy.

1. Whee! Nothing's more fun than a herd of kittens!
I wish I could watch.

2. Now it's hide-and-seek.
I keep seeing tiny little paws poke out from under the sofa, and the bigger cats try to swat at them.

4. Here's the latest batch of furry mayhem.

Getting them all in one place and keeping still for a second is like trying to stack marbles.

7. Oh yes, just six weeks old this week
They are so funny when they do that sideways hopping when playing with each other.

My two kitties, below in my sig line, are absolutely mesmerized by their antics.

9. It's funny how that happened on this litter.
One year Momma Cat had all Tux kittens. When they were all sleeping together it was hard to pick out just one kitten from the big pile of black and white fur.

10. I have read that it is very common for a single litter to be fathered

by more than one male. Cats tend to get around. I'd guess that not all of those kittens have the same daddy.

12. Momma Cat just called them all to her.
She's nursing them in a corner in the front room.

15. All kittens are on acid
It takes a while to wear out. :P Evie used to come up the stairs at warp 9, bank shot herself 3 feet up the top wall, and bounce 10 feet into the living room without ever touching the floor. Traumatized me for life, especially since her brothers picked up on it.
