6. Real old cigarette ads had a doctor endorsing the product

down in the corner. Usually the guy had a white coat and a cancer stick in one hand.
Maybe that was just one ad I saw a long time ago, but it stuck with me.

That used to be my Grandpa's advice. Got a sore throat or a cough? Smoke a menthol.

I don't know. I'm not a smoker, and when I had a sore throat or chest cold smoking is the furthest thing from my mind.

He was a regular cigarette smoker though and every time he got a cold he would switch to menthols. There had to be some reasoning behind it, I guess.
