Why do people assume that a person who creates one work of art was "meant" to create
Edited on Wed Jun-03-09 07:40 PM by Mike 03
many works of art? And that one person who creates only one great work of art is a failure for not creating more great works of art?

That term "one hit wonder" just hurts people who have one insight, or painting, novel, motion picture screenplay, or other innovation within them.

Is that bad, to have one work of art within you, instead of ten? Is it better to create nothing at all worthwhile verses more than one thing, or should artists just STFU if they can't create more than one or two worthy works of art?

1. I guess when something is so well done, you expect more.
