John Edwards has lost my support

Just now, on regional television, he announced that he is pulling for the Tarheels to win the ACC tournament. And I really wanted to like him, but now, pfffttt!

Note: Edwards is a graduate of N.C. State University(Go Wolfpack!)and got his law degree from UNC(the aforementioned heathen Tarheels).

Post-Note: We take our college basketball verrrrrryyy seriously in the ACC.

2. What a conflict of interest

As a devout Dukie I can confirm the above statement...I know if I was in a similar situation I would have no idea who to root for...On second thought I would never be in that situation, I just wouldn't let it happen.

Did anyone read last week's Sports Illustrated? There is a big article about the Duke-UNC rivalry and Edwards is quoted in it. I think he says something to the effect of "I hate Duke"...boo

Over his UNDERGRAD alma mater--especially considering the rivalry between them!:wow:
Plus, hated to see the institution we BOTH love to despise--DOOK--win the first game today against UVa.

But...if he really DOES want the Heels to win, that's great...I just hope his announced support doesn't curse 'em!:eyes:

I got jipped- listening at work via streaming radio... they had John Swofford on at the half instead of Edwards. They kept saying that JRE would be on, so I kept the halftime show going... and going... and... No go on the Edwards front.
