They had a new baby about a week ago and haven't cut their lawn since then. He works 4 days a week. My feeling is that would be insulting to them. Sort of like saying "Since you can't keep up your lawn, we'll do it for you." What do you think?

1. How well do you know your neigbors.
If you know them well, cut the grass.

It would be a nice thing to do.

Last year when my knee was in bad shape my neighbors took turns cutting our grass.

I do the same for them.

5. We don't know them that well.
They live about four houses down and have live here a couple years.

7. I would ask first.
Some people are funny about their yard.

8. He falls in that category.
He's always fussing with it, so it'll be the perfect front lawn.

12. I have a neighbor next door like that.
He has to keep his grass just a certain height.

He is retired so all he seems to do is yard work now.

Thist is one yard I wouldn't touch, my neighbor is a ass.

Last year I was so thankful for my neighbors cutting my grass.

2. Might be a nice gesture.
Leave a little card on their door, maybe - "lawn cut in congrats of new baby," something like that.

3. Ask first
I agree with the potential for hurting dude's feelings.

He'll probably say SURE!

4. I would knock on the door and ask her
"Hey, I know y'all have been busy with the new baby, and, since I was cutting my grass, I was thinking maybe I could take one thing off your list and just go ahead and cut yours at the same time. I just wanted to check first nd make sure that's okay."

Me, personally? I would be ticked off and mortified if a neighbor just ut my lawn. If they did the above? I'd be as pleased as Punch!

6. Burn it.
damn slackers.

Seriously, I think there's a big potential for upsetting your neighbor. If you do anything, check with him 1st.

13. I'd go over and ask first in case the baby is sleeping.
But it would be a nice thing to do if you don't mind.
