Pics of the Cox Arboretum Metropark in Dayton, Ohio
Here's what you see as you enter the paths. The people working there in the gardens appear to be volunteers. There were about a dozen of them and they ranged in age from young to old.

A picture of one of the many ponds in the park.

They call this the crabapple tree grove.

The beginning of a 2.5 mile trek through the woods. They have three such trails. I walked two of them today.

It was at this point that I started thinking about the beginning of the classic horror flick Friday the 13th. :scared: But the beautiful scenery soon made me forget about that.

It's a long way down. Yodel-lodel-lay-hee-hoo!

That little building there is a bird blind. I checked it out for a bit, but didn't see anything eye-catching.

I thought I had several more photos but it looks like my camera's batteries took a crap on me. The Cox Arboretum is going to become very familiar to me as I need to get out and exercise and it's only 2 miles from my house. I'll see if I can get some more pics including one of the park's working dog, Zipp. He's proven to be elusive so far.

3. Thanks! We'll try to go there soon.

We visit a nursing home patient in the area and have enjoyed Aullwood Park in the northern section. This one looks great.
