Anybody else have weird dreams this morning?
Sometimes, when I oversleep, I have weird dreams. This morning's was no exception. I was told I had to go to another city for training. Our entire group was ordered to run, yeah run, down the freeway. After it started pouring rain, we stopped & sought shelter in some kind of storage room. Then came the funny part... there was a tray filled with chocolates- with the word "Hawaii" - filled with real pinapple! LOL. I'm so weird.

1. I was up by 7, partly because of the weird dreams
First I was Harry Potter. This shouldn't be too surprising, as I'm exactly halfway through the series. I don't remember any details of the dream; one assumes that it was just my brain going over what I'd been doing (reading Harry Potter) and locking it in my memory.

Then my brother was asking me about my schedule. It developed that he was asking me because we had a gig playing jazz somewhere up the East Coast, say Baltimore. (You can probably guess that neither of us play jazz in real life; I haven't played any instrument since high school.) In the dream, I was talking to the bass player at the gig. I figured that since we had a bass player and a drummer that I'd be playing piano. Then (in the dream) I remembered that I don't play piano and that my brother does. Either I woke up or left it that I was flummoxed, I'm not sure.

2. It's funny how we do things so effortlessly in our dreams,
we can't even door poorly IRL!

Hope you got enough rest. It sucks when your dreams wake you up too early.

3. I did... an unusually bizarre one...
Last night, I dreamt that I had discovered the secret to time travel, and I traveled some time into the future.

My future self eventually learned to way to communicate with the past by posting messages to my present-day Twitter account. Doing this caused an endless recursive loop of tweets that eventually brought the entire Internet to a grinding halt.

4. That's great!
Well, except for the bad part about crashing the entire internet.

9. Probably...
I'm stressed about work & I miss Hawaii. Those are on-going themes in my dreams.

11. I had a work dream after falling back asleep at 6:45
I dreamt I was on my way to a social function when my boss cornered me and made me map our audience using a complicated 90 quadrant scale dreamed up by the University marketing director because he didn't think the way I'd done it earlier looked cool enough.

By the way, I've never had to do this in real life so I don't know why I dreamt it. But I knew I should've gotten up when I woke up; it spoiled my morning.

19. I had a work dream too.
I was doing Excel spreadsheets in my dreams and can't exactly remember what I was doing with them, but I know I didn't get paid for all that work. WTF? LOL!

13. I don't remember many details -
but there was something about ice skating to escape a mugger (he couldn't get to me while I was on the ice, but I HAD to be dancing), and adopting a baby with Alec Baldwin. That's some pretty weird stuff, even for me.

16. What's so weird about that?
Add in a "trust fall" session and a painfully unfunny skit, and it sounds like just about every corporate "team-building" retreat I've ever attended.

21. YES! For the last week or so, in fact.
Now they're a jumbled mess in my mind and I can't even comment on them.

Speaking of dreams, Alec Baldwin, and memory loss . . . segue . . .

When I was taking ginkgo biloba I had a very intense dream that involved ALL the Baldwin brothers. Don't know that the ginkgo did much for my memory besides burning that dream into my memory so I can remember it years later.

23. OMG, yes.
I dreamed my house was overrun by black ants, and then, by huge white maggots. The exterminator arrived with huge dumptrucks and cement mixers full of a yellow, pasty chemical. They immersed my house... I saw the level of the yellow rise on the windows and it scared the crap out of me. I woke and had a bad day.

So yeah. I did.

My sleeping mind is much more creative and interesting than my conscious mind. I wish the reverse were true.
