Poll question: You have three parrots, each one is unique:
1. Rusty is an acrobat and very lively. Unfortunately, he doesn't know his own strength and his antics frequently cause blood to be spilled. Yet at times, he makes up for the violent side by flying toward me if he's in dark room and I'm in a lit room, and loves doing tricks (e.g. somersaults) to get his papaya treats. Sadly, he doesn't do much with his toys. Sometimes he'll play with them, but he's more inclined to sit and interact with people. I do spend time with him, but as fun as getting him to somersault, hopping onto my finger to perch, or to fly to me is, I'm not the active type I think he wants.

2. Scooter is fairly shy, but is affectionate. Scooter knows her own strength. She even gets along with Rusty, in the same hotel-sized cage. Unfortunately, her comparative shyness has led her to being a very stolid bird, slow to change, and even edgy around me at times. I've seen Scooter play with her toys, but only out of frustration - for reasons I have yet to fathom. I think she was abused as a chick, before I adopted her. She's opened up to me a great deal, but she'll have issues her entire life.

Both Rusty and Scooter are 1.6 years old.

3. Mickey is very young (6 months). He sometimes bites hard, but 90% of the time he will readily and freely lie on his back and relax in my hand -- and allow me to scratch his neck. Little fazes him. He is extremely endearing. He actively seeks out toys to play with and chew on. He's the perfect little parrot, damn him. :P

Rusty seems more tolerant of Mickey than Scooter -- of course, Mickey and Scooter are Green Cheek Conures and Rusty is a Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure.

Each has bonded to me and I kinda dig them all. Mickey is my absolute favorite. But three birds is a small chore; I can keep Rusty and Scooter out, or Mickey out, but to let all three out of their cages will cause big problems -- Mickey can be incredibly feisty for his age as well.

Which would you give up for adoption?
