Poll question: 24 season 7 finale (major spoilage)
So while every other season of 24 reached a logical ending point, they left the ending of season 7 wide open with the final seconds being between a comatose Jack and his daughter. So what do you think will happen next?

1. i thought he was signed on for a couple more seasons?
though it really looked like they were setting up that FBI agent to take over as the badass rogue rogue agent that Jack was.

5. Jack has more lives than most cats do.
Let's see:

1st season - almost murdered
3rd season - nearly dies from being poisoned at CTU
4th season - had to fake death in order to escape Chinese custody
5th season - wakes up on a cargo ship headed to China
6th season - nearly dies in an oil well explosion
7th season - Gets hit by the bio-weapon, almost dies

So what's in store for season 8?

2. sure he lives
The daughter arrives just in time to save him early next season. Meanwhile, the FBI lady has learned Jack's thuggish ways and comes to realize that the nuke dude captured is just the tip of the iceberg. The private armies were dabbling in nukes on the one hand but buying all the major mines on the world other hand, creating a uranium monopoly, selling to rogue states, assasinating non-compliant woerld leaders, all while running one of their own as a senator, who gets involeves with the president, now thatshe and her husband are estranged......... See, it never ends......

4. He'll live, then watch as the FBI Agent slowly turns into a cold torturer just like he was
and then he has a breakdown and shoots both of them in a murder suicide.

7. I could be misremembering, but I think Jack heads up a new CTU in New York next season.
Perhaps Renee will join the team and Jack will be the one trying to keep her in line so she doesn't turn into him.

9. He lives. Jack Bauer won't die.
Besides, he still has one more year, and if they were going to kill him off, it wouldn't be between seasons or because of a virus.

I think they set up a lot of very interesting story lines for next season.

10. Fuck 24! It's part of the reason some "willingly ignorant" people INSIST that torture works.

11. I watched the finale with my parents and it confirmed my reasoning for not watching 24
It's really a personal taste issue in that I can't stand the constant cliffhanger. I want TV shows that resolve themselves at the end of the episode. An occasional "to be continued" is nice but every freakin episode is ridiculous. And they didn't even resolve anything at the end of the season.
