My company is offering this seminar: "Hyphens, everything you wanted to know and more"
With this descriptor.." If "you want to make hyphens your friends, just bring yourself and your curiosity. The workshop will last about 30-40 minutes and will provide examples and handouts."
Sounds exciting doesn't it? I know scientists are notoriously grammar challenged but still...
Hmm should I bust my ass to get my work done to get to this thrilling class...:dilemma: Though I'm sure at least one resident grammar natsi will tell me I need it...:P

10. You would think...
...that the people in charge of a grammar seminar would know the difference between a comma and a colon.

14. Proper hyphenation is critical in the sciences
There was a case of a nuclear engineer ordering "seven foot-long fuel rods" when he should've ordered "seven-foot-long fuel rods". Sometimes a hyphen makes a big difference.
