Guess the song by a line (or two) from it.

Preferably first lines, but not necessarily.

Here we go.

Où sont tes héros aux corps d'athlètes
Où sont tes idoles mal rasées, bien habillées

Here's mine:

How can I explain
When there are few words I can choose
How can I explain
When words get broken ...

(a relative oldie)

27. Ya got me.
The lyrics seem really familiar, but I can't place it, and it's not in my cd collection.

Also, I probably shouldn't have chosen a Robert Cray song with title so predominately in the lyrics.

48. Yep.
Post Waters is still Floyd. Actually, I thought lapse of reason and division bell were great albums.

This is what I was going to give as a clue:

So I open my door to my enemies
And I ask could we wipe the slate clean
But they tell me to please go and fuck myself
You know you just can't win.

Actually, while waiting for the reply, I popped the cd in and grabbed my guitar. Absolutely love that song!

I agree. Even Gilmour's solo work was decidedly Floyd.

Have you ever heard "The Screaming Abdabs"? Dark Side of the Moon before Gilmour joined the band.

I heard of them before "Stacy's Mom." When I was in seventh grade I fell in love with Apartment Life by Ivy. A certain member of Ivy is also in Fountains of Wayne. So I naturally picked up on Fountains of Wayne.

The one about photographs,
Sung by Ringo Starr.
Especially in the chorus part,
You always said "Now, don't you start."

20. Well done, I was worried I'd gone too obscure. Here's too obscure.
Hermann loves Pauline and Pauline loves Hermann
they made love and gave birth to a little German
They call him MC2 because he raps like no other
an asthma sufferer like Ernesto Guevara
Too much Monte Cristo No. 4
pass the ventolin I need some more

No one will get this, but I love the lyrics

Marie Curie was Polish born
but French bred French bread
Of course she ended up dead
from radiation slow invisible suffocation
Down the 24 hour garage
or any service station
I lead my life in a quest for information
Sensurrounded by pies and books
middle-aged drivers and deranged cooks

he suffered poor health
He used to vacantly stare out the window feeling under?
