1. It's good if you like it.
I personally don't care for the way he's using vibrato...basically one speed only, rather fast and "shaky" sounding.

Since I'm not well schooled on that style I can only guess that he's emulating someone else who plays that way.

5. if you take some fine sandpaper to the strings you can
get rid of most of the scraping sound when you're playing bottle neck or steel guitar. At least thats what I do with most of my resonator and Hawaiian guitar's strings. and yeah he's pretty good.
