Ok so I am sitting here listening to Pandora radio (Prince radio) and some Michael Jackson songs came on - older ones from Off the Wall and Thriller and I can't help myself... I sing along and dance in my chair

I just can't help but think what a frickin waste of talent and what a damn shame

ok done ranting

1. I always wonder how much had to do with the abuse he suffered from his father.

That is one scary guy. :scared:

But, yeah, it's a shame. He was such a cute kid who just lit up the stage.

2. Yeah, he had a very abusive childhood - rather what should have
been his childhood. It is a shame - he has a lot of talent and works very hard at it. He put out some good music in a lot of different styles over the years.
Just sad.

3. I hear ya
A sad shame.

And a sad shame too that there are unethical doctors out there who apparently will agree to do anything at all for the right price.

5. oh I know...
when I see pictures of how cute he was and then you see what has happened to his face now.. its like a form of self-mutilation and self-loathing.

4. He and other child and teen musicians were put on stage too young and knew nothing else
Look at him, Brian and Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys, some of the Osmond brothers, their dads were in charge and they all had problems.

6. I LOVE PANDORA!
I listen to it at work all the time!! and I totally agree about Michael Jackson, he could have gone down in history as one of the most successful pop stars of all time but nobody will remember his as that now! I love Beat it, its such an awesome song! LOL :hi:

7. One of my fave grooves by him; no one else ever likes..
"Leave Me Alone".

I'm hoping to have husband re-work it so it can be played again (he's a prog house/electro/breaks dj)
