My first colonoscopy is done
and nothing abnormal to report other than what I am normally :P

The drugs are starting to affect the rest of my body and mind now, though. I was awake during the 15-20 procedure and even watched it on the screen. Cool stuff! I hope I can get a copy of it from my doctor. The technology is so amazing, they even had just this one building set up for internal imaging. I did notice the brand of the internal camera was Olympus, so I'll have to look that up now. The operating room was freezing however. Had to get an extra blanket to survive it! lol

Now I can go eat something and maybe take a nap. I should be okay for work tomorrow, but it's a paid day off for now... :D

If I get the video I'll post pictures!

4. I'll get the doctor's autograph on them instead.
Should be worth something someday since his last name is Pollack :D

5. I had my first one done Friday,
they put me to sleep.

Same here, fortunately the doctor said that there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Just a few polyps that she removed and is going to have evaluated.

7. I don't think I had any polyps, or he didn't say anything about finding any.
But I must say, of the whole two-days worths, the "cleansing" period is the worst of the experience. I wish there was some other way to do that part, something a bit more pleasant ;)

6. Kentauros! Don't you think your colon looks like
those big ass worms in the movie TREMORS?

8. I'm not as familiar with that movie as some of the other cheapies.
So, my first thought was it reminds me more of Basket Case, Videodrome or even the cover of King Crimson's In the Court of the Crimson King :P

9. I need to do one and have been putting it off
it helps to hear that your experience wasn't horrible.

What about the affects of the drugs?

11. I guess it just depends on the person
but now, about three hours after the procedure started, I'm still a bit disoriented, at least in moving around. That's probably why they insisted on wheeling me out to my ride in a wheelchair, too. I had to be escorted to the bathroom once I had gotten dressed again, just in case I couldn't make it the whole way. I don't think I'm that bad now, but I am beginning to get sleepy.

However, hunger has won out and I've got a big bowl of veggie broth with angelhair pasta before me :9
