You know what is messed up?

My husband's mom would spank all of them (him, his sis, and his step-sis) if someone did something wrong, and no one fessed up. How fucked up is that? And she thinks it would cause the one who did do something wrong to fess up, but it didn't always. That is so fucked up. I am so thankful my husband turned out to be as awesome as he is.


And, I more than likely won't spank at all, but I damn sure won't spank an innocent kid.

A lot of things parents did back then would be considered abusive now.

She also told me she never had to child-proof her house because her toddlers knew better than to get into stuff. I guess they weren't able to explore any. If they did, they got popped. Such a shame. His mom, as nice as she is, was a messed up mom, IMO. He did turn out great, but I almost think it was luck.
