8. The "falls in a pool of lava" thing

I had this same thought about Gollum in Return of the King. Considering molten lava is what, 2200 degrees F, and people are mostly water, wouldn't a human body just explode into steam on contact? (I know that sounds gross, but I'm just wondering)
