Poll question: L O S T Season Finale Death Watch 2009
Who's going die in the great tradition of deaths during the season finale?

I think we can assume Jack, Kate and Hurley are safe since Jack and Kate are the MAIN characters of the show and Hurley is the favorite.

2. Well Jack does want to explode an H-bomb on the island
so you may get your wish, lol.

4. You know that show was great until they jumped the shark
they ran out of ideas for flashbacks so that got out of whack with some of them. They killed off all the tailies they brought in for season #2 and had to figure out other ways to replace leaving cast members (this ain't ER - they can't just hire new doctors). I was so happy that Hurley might find love and when they killed her off suddenly (the last of the tailies) I just gave up carrying. The Others served no purpose in my world.

Now we're dropping H-Bombs on the island - they not only jumped the shark, they jumped the orca, the whale and just about every other species of fish both from today and prehistoric time.

6. haha, you mean it didn't jump the shark when the polar bears showed up
in the second episode of season 1? I take it as a Science fiction series and not as anything that could actually happen in real life. Now there are multiple groups on the island, all of whom sense the mystical importance of the island and all have their own agenda regarding that importance.

9. I thought the polar bear was weak (did they ever explain it)
but I took it for "freaky things that happen on the island" type bullshit.

13. They did explain it in season 3.
And if you gave up halfway through season 3, you gave up at the wrong point, it has been stellar since then.

30. Yep. They explain the polar bears.
Season 3 really sucked but season 4 mostly turned it around and season 5 has three or four of the best ever Lost episodes.

14. Couldn't agree with you less. Love the show. Love it. I had trouble with (I think it was)
season 3 but since then it has been fantastic. What a great ride.

20. That was the low point of the show
and I think even the writers will admit they made mistakes in S3.

But after the hiatus they came back in full swing and the season finale in S3 completely turns the show around. It's been great since then, with few real duds.

5. I have never watched the show.
My daughter had a baby yesterday. Her nurse came in last night and told her it was time to get up and walk (she had a c-section). My daughter told her, no, it is time for "Lost".

Glad she has her priorities straight.

7. I've never watched it either.
I can't get into those types of shows since I work second shift and I don't have Tivo.

16. I hated Sawyer at the beginning, but now he seems like the Han Solo of Lost.
So I like him a lot better.

27. I'm not mean! I compared Sawyer to Han Solo. Coming from me that's a huge
compliment. I think at first they made him too much of a cartoon character, but now that they've humanized him I like him much better.

15. It had better not be Sayid. That's all I'm saying. Or Desmond.
Or Penny (just because it would kill Desmond).

Tho.

I liked this past week's episode.

This show loses me sometimes. This season I've been off and on about it.

But I am looking forward to this season's finale.

Next season is the last.

They have a lot of ground to cover.

If Hurley wakes up next to Victoria Principal....!

25. Bite your tongue.
Desmond must stay. Plus I think he may have a very important role to play. I've read lots of theories involving him that sound quite plausible.

21. The only dispensable character on your list at this point is Miles.
Edited on Sat May-09-09 08:25 AM by MilesColtrane
So, I'm voting for some kind of father/son showdown in which Miles takes Chang's arm off and Chang kills Miles.

(edited because I can't spell)

26. Yeah, I'm wondering. Now that Miles and his dad know each other, and now that
Miles understands that his dad (while a bit of an asshole) was not a monster, I wonder if Miles isn't going to be next. When they had that scene where Miles realized that his dad was being an asshole to his mom to protect her and make her leave, I started to wonder.
