My little Pom mix keeps picking up cockleburrs. At the rate we're
trimming his fur to cut them out, the question of whether to shave his fur against the summer heat will be moot!

1. Does the furminator work for burrs?

4. It might, but not without a lot more pulling than he'll tolerate.
It does a fantastic job of clearing his underfur to keep him knot free.

2. Sticky-back velcro
Hang the pup on it, then peel.

:fistbump:

3. This stuff is nature's own velcro. I don't think I can work it loose without a lot
of tugging and pulling he'd hate.

6. An attempt at black humor
Picture it as a Simpsons episode.

I'd go with the haircut. I have a mixbreed spaniel/chow/lab/et al with a very dense coat. He just got his Georgia-summer cut & is all frisky about it.

5. Pomeranians are funny-lookin' little dogs.

No offense... :)

7. He's a pom mix, so he's about 20 lbs. I'm amazed at how
versatile his facial expressions are. Poms are really a small hunting dog, not a lap dog. This guy loves to sit in laps, but then he gets too warm.

8. But how would a little 5-pound Pom breed with a 20-pound dog?
I'm scratching my head trying to figure that one out...

9. You got me - apparently the first people who had him thought
he was Chihuahua mix! I guess dogs can be creative when properly motivated!
