4. haha, i had a garter snake that loved goldfish too
he would circle the water bowl on the outside and then do a quick strike, grab a fish then take it out of the water to his little shelter.

3. Last year, saw one like that red one
on the tennis court. Little bugger was hard to scare away. I didn't wanna hurt it, I just wanted it to get off the court and go back into the grass.

5. I have several snakes that reside in my yard, although none of them
are as colorful as the ones you show. I just call them my little brown yardsnakes.

When I was a kid growing up in the country, we had quite a variety of snakes that lived around the place, but the most common were the big black snakes that lived around the barn. My dad would never allow us to harm any of them, even if we found them in the house ("Don't tell your mother" was the rule for that). He always felt like the occasional baby chick or egg that we lost to them was more than made up for by the number of rodents that they ate.

6. Beeyootiful...
They can move a little too fast for me, though. I've been startled more than once by a sudden flash in the grass.

12. I think they're cute and the fun thing is they make most men scream like little girls
So they're double endearing to me

13. I like garter snakes...
BUT NOT IN THE HOUSE!

My Baby Kitty Finnegan brought one inside to play with a week or so ago.

Heard his distinctive little "Mmmrrrrow (mmf mff) Mmmmrrrrow?" (hard to do phonetically) and some soft thumps...
"Aw man, what's he got this time?"

He's got a farkin' GARTER SNAKE is what he's got! :wow:

Eventually got the poor little snake contained and released back into the wild...
