3. OMG!
I hope those blue tulle things didn't have to be transported anywhere, it would have taken a semi for each one. And what was going on with the naked body in the back left?

The purple ones on the beach were puzzling. I was thinking a Renaissance wedding sort of thing, then I saw the sand and the palm trees.

As for my own experience as a bridesmaid... I did it once and it was enough to keep me away from weddings forever.

7. Actually, I liked the aqua ones -
not the headdresses, oh, god, no.

But I thought those gowns were rather romantic and quite pretty.

The others, well, my theory about bridesmaid dresses is that it's simply the bride's way of making sure she looks better than anyone else in the wedding party.......................

8. See, this sort of thing makes me suspect that women secretly hate all their friends.

14. LOL!.. I guess I've always liked the "Minimalist Look". ...
..I mean, Wedding Gowns are another matter but (if I were a Bride) ..I certainly
wouldn't want the Bridesmaids to look like they were wearing something that weighed 40 pounds. :)

15. I've never been asked to be a bridesmaid...
Edited on Thu May-07-09 11:03 AM by badgerpup
...and after looking at these travesties and blasphemies in fabric, I'm GLAD!

I thought brides were supposed to ask people they at least liked, if not friends and family to do the...er...honors.

:wtf:

These examples look like the brides chose people for their Day of Days that they didn't like and wanted to humiliate.
That, or maybe the sorely-tried bridesmaids were such good, staunch, unconditional friends it didn't matter WHAT Bridezilla made them wear...
OR...
Maybe...
They HATED those dresses with the passion of ten thousand suns :nuke:
...but figured that revenge is a dish best served cold and when the recipient isn't expecting it.

:hide::yoiks:

18. I was never asked to be a bridesmaid either.
I always thought it was because my friends didn't think I was pretty enough. I feel better now!

and not a good one - to the one time I was a bridesmaid. The dresses were sherbet colored - lime green and lemon yellow. The bride tried to tell us that the green was eau d' Nil, but hell, I'd seen the Nile and it wasn't that color green at all - brownish, tanish green, but not lime sherbet. The worst is that the bridal shop messed up the order and my dress came in as orange sherbet in color. I'm a redhead and trust me, orange is not the best color on me. The shop tried to get me to take it and I refused. The bride, to her credit, told me that if I marched down the aisle in my jeans I was going to be in her wedding party. The day before the wedding the right dress (well, the correct color anyway) came in. The store didn't want to hem it for me. My mother calmly told them that she was going to be taking out an ad in the local newspaper that read "Getting married? Call me to find out where not to go for your dress." They hemmed it, very ungraciously, and did a poor job. I nearly tripped walking down the aisle. Oh well, the best part of the day, aside from the under-age drinking I got to do, was throwing that dress out when I got home from the reception.

19. A snark from the MTM show
Mary and Rhoda are conned into wedding from hell by a Bridezilla. Their dresses arrive; Mary pulls hers out of the box. It's a pink nightmare - an explosion in a cotton candy factory. Rhoda says, "There could be only one thing worse than that dress in pink. It's that dress in purple." Guess what Rhoda gets.
