Is her 'new face' due to getting upper teeth? I remember carrying my son around one day when he was about that age and he was teething on my shoulder-it began to hurt! He loved frozen carrot sticks for his gums- would point up to the freezer door of the fridge and say, "IH, IH, IH!"
