1. I didn't go to these things alone ya know.

Though I never went in full costume. Despite what you think, most of the people who attend these conventions are quite normal..I said MOST!!! I'm thinking that I've probably met Dr. Strange at one of these but he was so dressed up as a freak I wouldn't have guessed it. :rofl:

I was more interested in getting autographs from the stars that attended...But I did witness more than a few of those...;)

3. I used to go when I was in college

and they held it at my college. Loved it and thought it was really fun. Same as a flea market except with Sci Fi items and movies and the odd lecture about Klingon grammar. But I haven't been to one in a very long time.

My nephew who will be 19 this summer, is quite the Manga/Anime fan, though. So, I guess as soon as he learns to navigate his Asperger's and drive a car without getting too distracted, I'm sure he'll want to attend one. :-)
