For some reason the labels given to the American population is

bothering me today. I read an article a short while ago about the plight of the middle class. Why is it necessary to put labels on us? Some of the ways these labels are used come across as degrading.

Lower Class
Low income
Blue collar
Upper class
White collar
Upper income
Middle class
working class

There are more,but today I heard about the unemployed blue collar working class again.
Why is it necessary to put people in these blocks? The way these titles are sometimes used bothers me. We are all Americans, why do we have to be called blue collar like it is some kind of plague?Working Americans will be fine.

Or in my case, unemployed working Americans.

the rich. How else can we talk about how the freepers are voting against their own best interest by supporting the GOP who really only help the rich?
