i have never been around so many people at one time, but my SO promised that we don't have to see anything but Phish - so we can just hang out the rest of the time and listen to the streams. :D

i despise the micro-managed music festival - it stresses me out.

Am I supposed to keep track of all of these things? Silly me, I figure something called Jazzfest is going to involve Jazz. Which I do not like.

I mean, we have a Jazz Festival here, and people actually play jazz. :shrug:

13. Well actually the Sac Jazz fest

hs changed a lot too. they feature more blues, brass bands, New Orleans style of music now. Not nearly as much of the traditional basin street jazz any more.

But jazzfest (in NOLA the only JazzFest)is at the race track and feture some othe biggest names in music, in all genres. there is a Gospel tent that seats 5 thousand. Tow outdoor stages that are huge. a blues tent, a bayou stage and everything. I ti sthe best fest. 25 bucks to dsee Dave mathews, Bonerama, and galactic? Oh yeah.

14. Jazz is a mentality, a way of life, an identifiable marketing slogan

as well as a form of music. You think New Orleans, you think Jazz. It started out as a Jazz festival with just a couple hundred people in 1970, I think it was, but has become a music venue like Bonaroo or ACL.

When the Jazz were in New Orleans, they played basketball (or tried) instead of jazz music, too, yet no one seemed confused. Except as to why they played basketball instead of Jazz, since they sucked at basketball, maybe.
