3. When I first got a vcr in 1991 I taped Night Flight every week

I loved their musical/video collages! Unfortunately, I don't have them anymore...which might be for the best, I suppose.

My Night Flight days where in the mid 1980's- you had to sneak down stairs when the folks where in bed, and keep the volume pretty low too.

I did not have MTV, so this was my main exposure to any non-radio music for a while.

10. Great topic- here are a couple that spring to mind:

Bay City Rollers- "Saturday Night"- a really catchy, British Invasion era influenced power pop number with a great beat.

I found their greatest hits LP at Goodwill and the rest of their stuff is pretty god-awful.

Also, "Happy, Happy, Happy" by Bobby Rydell- his first single. Actually a fantastic, high energy Rock & Roll number- the rest of his career stinks.

As to Quicksilver- "Hit of Fresh Air" isnt too bad- but I've never really explored their stuff...

I gave it my best shot- these are not exactly top recommendations- LOL!

The BSR song "Saturday Night" gets points b/c it has that sort of Ramones/Suzi Quatro style, hand-clapping cheerleader thing going on. It's a catchy tune, nothing more. Everything else I've heard by them stinks.

Good luck finding the Rydell 45- it's actually pretty rare, and it never appeared on any other hits package that I am aware of.

Yeah- I wont defend Quicksilver- much less anything else from the late 60's San Fransisco scene...(although I do like a few Dead LPs)
