Saw the Go-Go's last night. They were AWESOME!

The girls rock harder than they ever have!! And they seem to be getting along very well and having a lot of fun. It seems they are trying to manage the ego issues that have split them up in the past.

They did Belinda's "Mad About You" song, and they also did Jane's "Cool Places" duet with Sparks.

Besides that they did (in no particular order)

Cool Jerk (Belinda called her son up on stage to dance during this one, my but he's a handsome fella!)

Get Up and Go
Vacation (this was the opening song)
Head Over Heels (this one was just fantastic!)
Forget That Day (they said they hadn't played this one since the 80s, and I believe them, as it was the song that contributed to their break-up)
Stuck in My Car

And of course...

Our Lips are Sealed (they performed the 2nd stanza, which isn't on the record)
We Got the Beat (the last song of the regular set)

They came back for an encore and did two songs I'm not familiar with, so either they were rare tracks or new material (which would be awesome!) and then closed with the Shangri-la's song: Walking in the Sand (at least, I think that's the name of it)

Lots of fun, friendly banter with each other & the crowd, and I'm still convinced that Gina Shock is the best rock drummer of her generation.



Anyway, I just had to share, because I was so excited.

3. I saw them a few decades ago, in a very early reunion (I think it was a benefit

of some sort) - it was a really awesome energetic show. I would certainly see them again...
