I need company. :)

I need a reason to get my ass out of bed and be social. :hi: Other than to chew on one more painkiller.

Anyone feel like a trip to Staten Island. :P

6. I've been to San Francisco once, and I would LOVE to be able
to come back out there again. If I could travel it is definitely high up on my list of places I want to go. But that's not going to be physically possible. :(

So, if you ever get the chance to come out this way, you definitely have a place to stay if you wish. My new apartment is bigger and nicer than the one I'm moving out of. You will always be welcome.

7. I'd enjoy that, especially the ferry trip, but I'm still limited to driving about 10
miles a day. Maybe this summer.

And I want to go see the Intrepid, now that it's back. And have lunch at a real NY deli.

that is as pain free as possible for both of us. I would love a chance to hang out with you and do cool semi-touristy stuff. :)

How good to see you!

I wish I could get out to Staten Island!

We would have such a great visit...

Painkillers have their place...

But so do visits!

10. Hi CaliforniaPeggy!
:loveya:

It would be a wonderful visit!

I think I am going to like where I am moving because it is a real neighborhood. It will be easier to know my neighbors. That will help. I've lived here for 14 years and don't know more than a few people in this building. How sad is that?

I like being around people. I really don't like spending this much time all alone. :(

29. I'm moving to Mariners Harbor.
Down Richmond Terrace.

I don't like being farther from the ferry, but it's an actual community, and it's within a few blocks of the corner of Richmond and Forest Avenue, so it's near a lot of important stuff. :)

Plan a lot of time when you come. I've sure you've both probably been to NYC a bunch of times before, being so close. But I'd love to hang out and show you around to any signs or events you haven't seen yet or want to see again. :)

I am also planning on catching a ride up to Boston sometime soon too. I hope you'll be around and available when I do.

I'm in love with Boston from my one trip there. And MissMillie was a wonderful, awesome host. :loveya: So now I have to come back again.

19. I'm sure it probably is.
Staten Island has always had a reputation for being someplace entirely different compared to the rest of the city.

It was a vacation area of religious retreats for a long, long time when it was an isolated island.

Then it was a wealthy enclave when it was a residential area that you could only access by ferry.

It has only really become an integrated part of the city in the past few decades since the bridges went up.

:hi:

I was reading that thread. I didn't post because I've been very out of gaming for a while, unfortunately. :(

I don't have anyone to game with down here, and I'm to the point of giving away all my gaming books and supplies. I just don't need them anymore. I'll never have a group of friends to game with again, so they're just taking up space.

39. Sept. 11 will always be raw for a lot of us around here.
Too many friends and funerals. I have a best friend who survived, but she is permanently so physically and mentally damaged that she has become a bitter recluse. :(

I'm doing pretty well personally. I'm procrastinating on stuff because of hand and eye pain, and I keep having bouts of disorientation. But today is better than most days, so I'm posting a lot and enjoying it. :)

I use facebook as a place to vegetate and play mindless games when the headaches and confusion hit. I don't chat there nearly as much as I do here. Though I should learn how to socialize there too. :P

I'm sleeping the days away, too, and not seeing anyone. Wish we could be together.
