Okay, so now I finally understand the Watchmen movie
Ten dollars and 2.5 hours of my life that I'll never get back. The joke was on me the whole time, wasn't it?

3. My SO used that same phrase "2.5 hrs of my life I won't get back"
He hated it, but said that if he had to get dragged out to see it (by a fanboy friend) he's glad he saw it on the big screen. He liked the visuals, just not much else.

4. Visually, it was pretty stunning
But for that same stimulation, I would rather have spent the time at an IMAX of the Grand Canyon.

6. I thought it was damned good; but then, I loved the comic.
Brilliant. Certainly one of the best "superhero" adaptation movies ever done.

8. I heard that this is a faithful adaptation of the comic
I'll just take that on faith. Ain't no way I'm reading it now.

Maybe this kind of thing was cutting edge in 1985. But the "dark" superhero movie has since become an overworked, tired cliche.

9. It was a bit long. But I liked the gist of it.

What length would one go to to save the world.
It made me think of terrorism in a way that I haven't thought about it before.
These people who strap bombs to themselves (as twisted and as wrong as it is) believe that they are doing it for some greater good.
They are of course misguided by fanatical religions in doing so but they do believe they are doing it for a greater good.

How many people would I kill to save the rest?.Only one(me)..
I liked Rorschach a lot.
