5. I got some rank, rotten chicken in my delivered chinese once
I got so sick I couldn't eat for days. What broke me out of it was a sheppards pie on new years eve. After that I was able to eat again. Yes, we got our money back.

6. I found a vein or a major artery the size of a #2 pencil in a burrito at Cisco Systems Cafeteria
...about 4 inches long, tubular, and...fortunately...I found it before I bit into any of it. A big, fleshy tube.

20. Don't ever travel in China
Especially if you're there as a guest of an official agency. You find yourself at luncheons and dinners and eating is mandatory so as not to cause offense.

Of course, I also got a lovely fur coat on that trip. When it got wet during a snowstorm, I realized it was made of dog. Just as I realized this, on a street in downtown DC, a young girl walked past and said "Great coat!"

I stopped her, asked her if she wanted it, she said "Are you serious?" I assured her I was, she took it, and I caught a cab home. It was cold out there. . . . . . . . . . .
