1. Love the iPhone. Got all my tunes, got the internet, got wifi, got a nice size screen to view videos
synces my contacts and date book....tons of great apps you can download to add other functions. I have recipes, games, books, all kinds of stuff.

8. Oh yeah and you have a fairly decent camera on it too. The Blackberry....not so much.
In June they are having a major OS upgrade that adds a ton of new features, like video capture, bluetooth stereo streaming, and a bunch of other goodies.

11. excellent
I have a decent camera, but my sis the photographer had the same one and hated it.....true she uses it more, but a lot of my pics have a tinted pink look .....and I could use a new cam.....I could give my mom my old one as hers is quite ancient.

10. I really dont think you'd need one. You should schedule some time at the Apple Store and have them
show you all the features first hand, then if you like it, give it a go.

There's about a brazillion different cases for the phone.

12. I'm sure, but at least to ME, I would think it's a pain in the arse because there isn't a dedicated
little slot to put the stylus in and you know it would end up getting lost eventually. Little stuff like that is just annoying to me.

13. Don't believe the hype
The iPhone is a piece of shit. Notice the iPeople are always waiting for simple functions like video capture? Yeah. That sounds like fun. The iPhone 'keypad' turns your display to a smudgy piece of shit in no time. And it's not as easy to type on like a real keypad. Oh and I hope you like AT&T if you plan on getting one. You'll be married to them for years to come.

18. I'm glad you enjoy your phone, but there are features that beat the crackberry whether you want to
acknowledge them or not. Smudgy piece of shit? I add a screen protector and smudges wipe off just fine, just like I did with my Palm back in the day. What cell service doesn't tie you into a 2 year contract these days?

It's also fairly simple to add the features that are missing right now, just not in an Apple approved method.

23. So let me get this straight
You have to BUY a stylus in order to make it type better.

You have to BUY a case in order to find a place to put your stylus for storage and carry.

Or you have to BUY a screen proctector in order to have your phone look normal.

And you can have simple functionality most other phones have if you feel like hacking your phone.

No thanks.

screen protector. There are no such accessories for EVERY phone on the market, really? Is that what you're saying? And I'll have the simple functionality officially with the new OS update in June.

35. Were you able to port-over your Palm data?
Were you able to easily port-over your Palm data to your i-phone? I am considering a phone upgrade too, but there is no way I'm willing to re-type all I have in my Palm-clone (old Sony Clie PEG still in service).

I thought about going to both Verizon and Apple stores with my old Clie and the cable, and promising to buy the first phone that either salesperson could get the data onto.

37. Sure thing, I synced mine up with Outlook then Outlook to iPhone
You are syncing with Palm Desktop right? Go to File and choose Export, the screen is pretty self explanatory, choose the location to download and then change the format at the bottom to VCard. If you have Windows and Outlook, I'm assuming, you do. You can just click and drag the file into the address book and it will prompt you to save them. Then you go to itunes and set up your sync from there to iphone. Easier than it sounds. Let me know if you need any help.

Don't be a slave to Apple. Verizon has excellent service in my area. I live in Small Town, MN and I even get 1xEV (Verizon's version of 3G). My friend couldn't even get regular AT&T service at my house.

My wife has one. It's small, stylish, and works well.

If you're a power user of email and web, the smaller format might not be as useful, but it's worth a look if you value a more compact design.

It's worked flawlessly since I got it; it does everything I need plus a lot of things I don't need but that I have a lot of fun with; and the coverage is far better than my previous carrier (Nextel). It has exceeded my expectations.
