My Blackberry beats the shit out of your iPhone
Edited on Wed Apr-08-09 02:12 PM by Symarip
Behold the most perfect phone to date:

The Blackberry Curve

It does everything your lame Apple piece of shit does and more. Unlike Steve Jobs' mp3 player that happens to make phone calls, the Curve is a work of functional art. It has a real keypad so you never have to worry about figuring out if your finger is over the 'y' or the 't' hotspot. It syncs up with all my email accounts effortlessly. The memory is removable and upgradeable and plays music, displays pictures and video perfectly. It also video records (good luck ever seeing that on an iPhone). You can find a shit ton of 3rd party programs and themes for free. The newest OS upgrade sports a full html browser with flash support and a boat ton of other functionalities you could only wish to see on the iPhone. The Curve is also available through more than one (really shitty) carrier.

It's not that I hate Apple. I have an Ipod and it works fine. I just can't see an upside to buying an iPhone. You can't even replace the battery. Re-read that last line. How many other cell phones can you think of where the battery isn't replaceable? Hell the iPhone didn't even have a cut and paste feature until 2 months ago. What a piece of shit?! And how about the fact you have to spend eternity dicking around with alt functions just to type a semi colon. Are you shitting me? I don't care how nice a display looks. If I can't get it to do what I need it to do what's the point of having it to begin with?

Sorry, Apple, you can peddle your shit to the other dummies out there. If I want another mp3 player, I might come knocking.

1. buy an iphone because they aren't worthless pieces of shit
That take 20 minutes to load a web page..even assuming it loads the page at all. WORST HANDHELD EMAIL/INTERNET SURFING EVER.
I'll never go back.

2. My webservice works fine
It takes maybe 2-5 seconds to load a medium sized webpage. And my email works flawlessly. Sounds like operator error to me.

So tell me,
If you run out of room for your music and videos, how exactly do you upgrade or replace your memory?

Oh, that's right. You can't.

4. I like my Q.
I can browse the web, but it's a secondary function. I just don't see the need for all that extra shit, just waiting to go wrong.

And I'll never own an iPhone nor an iPod.

7. Funny you mention the Curve. I have a Storm, and was thinking about replacing it with a Curve.
Edited on Wed Apr-08-09 02:18 PM by Bunny
I had a Pearl and thought the Storm would be a great upgrade, but so far I am not a fan. I wanted to get a World but they do not have a camera, if you can belive that. Verizon will give me a Curve for $59 after rebate. Did I mention I'm hooked on my Blackberry?

Which isn't to say that I wouldn't try the IPhone, but since I'm apparently an indentured servant to Verizon for life that probably won't happen.

11. My phone does what I want
Makes and receives calls. don't want email, don't want texting, don't want games or music, don't want videos. I especially don't want to look at a little tiny screen for video-my eyes are too old for that.

14. Who the hell wants to listen to music on their phone anyway.
Fuck that noise. I use a phone to make/receive phone calls (which I do once a week, if that). I use my MP3 player to play music (which I do daily, repeatedly, like masturbation if you will).

I don't want all that shit on my fucking phone. I want to be able to call somebody in an emergency. I don't want to play a microscopic version of Quake. I have no desire to watch movies and TV on a 2" screen.

And no, I don't want to look like a tool carrying around my phone on my belt, like I'm so damn important that I just HAVE to be able to get a phone call. "Important" people don't need to carry their phone around so they can be called at 2 a.m.-- they have peons that do that shit for them, so they can do whatever the fuck they want, whenever they want to.

All this gadget worship is so much bullshit. And don't get me started on those ballbags who wear those retarded-ass Bluetooth earpieces.

21. Neither do I
Who the hell answers the damn phone at the gym? Unless you're one of those guys who's on the elliptical with his Bluetooth earpiece in, yapping away.

And doesn't playing MP3s burn up your batteries faster? What happens when you get a "very important" call, and you're phone is dead because you've been listening to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness?

22. Haha
I'm basically on call 24/7. But no, I don't wear a bluetooth headset on the treadmill. Only a complete asshole would do that.

Wait a second. WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO JUDGE ME?!?!?!?! RAWR

24. FUCKING NARWHALS!!!!
Yeah, every time I see one of those d-bags on the treadmill with a bluetooth, I feel an incredible urge to cram up their backsides for them.

Thankfully, it's biking season again, I don't have to go to the gym if I wanna work out. We're down to 6" of snow on the ground, so I can slap the snow tires on the bike and hit the trails. :woohoo:

Edited on Wed Apr-08-09 02:44 PM by Lucian
Too bad it's on AT&T...America's shittiest network. I don't know if you saw the very early reviews for the BlackBerry Niagra, but it's like the Bold, only better: http://crackberry.com/blackberry9630review

18. Indeed!
What's nice about my Storm is that when the battery dies, I can take it out and put in a freshly charged one! :o

I'm trying to figure out how I can buy the Niagra. Since I used my upgrade discount in December to get the Storm, I'll have to pay full retail for the Niagra. :grr:

19. I've been with my Curve for 14 months
I suppose I can shop around for another Blackberry. With OS 4.5 though, I haven't even thought of what's going to come next. It's as close to perfection as I've ever experienced on a phone.
