Adam Lambert is really growing on me
Tonight, I thought he and Allison had the best performances of the night. Adam has shown he can be quirky without being a detriment to the song. Allison's personality showed on a slow song.

Matt was good, Lil Rounds was pretty good (her voice always sounds good, but there's still something a little lacking in the performances,) Kris was ok, Scott did have good and bad moments but it was one of his best and most daring, Danny was too indulgent again IMO, and I didn't think Anoop was as good as the judges did (his performance was somewhat sleepy.)

1. He and Allison will get votes from me tonight
Matt was ok...definitely not as good as the judges thought. I rooting for him since he's from Michigan though. I want to like Lil Rounds but she has yet to do a great performance. Kris is probably my third favorite (behind Adam and Allison). I really, really, really don't like Danny. I agree, Anoop wasn't that great. Scott was better than the judges thought but still not great. I have a feeling Scott will be going home this week.

2. I think it might be Anoop to go

Unless the voters followed the judges.. I really think he and Scott are probably the only ones in real danger, though.

3. If Scott goes this week...
Anoop will probably go next week. If Anoop goes this week, Scott will follow next week. I think they are the least good of the remaining contestants. What the judges said could be enough to save Anoop. I do think they have a lot of sway when it comes to votes, particularly Simon. Although, once in a while viewers will go a different direction than the judges.

9. Still early though
Voting is open for 2 hours (I think) and it hasn't aired on the West coast yet.

4. He did well
That is one of my most favorite songs, so I was worried he would ruin it. I was pleasantly surprised.

I missed Danny's song while putting my kids to bed. I think Scott is the weakest. Allison is the best singer, hands down. I can't believe she is only 16! Wow.

10. Danny sang Stand by Me
I hated it but I can't stand him in general. Allison has really grown on me. I didn't like her at first but I have really enjoyed her last 3 performances. I don't know why she's been in the bottom 3 twice already.

5. Not Me, Not Since He Fucked Up Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire"
He's a great singer. He could have chosen a different song to fuck up, like maybe a toby keith song or something.

6. I didn't like that performance, either
But I kept giving him chances, and his last two performances have impressed me.

14. Love Johnny Cash, love "ring of fire," liked Adam's version.
I have heard most of the covers of "ring of fire" and his was a nice take. I would never buy a CD of Adam's because it's not my style of music, but I like him. He does his own thing and he actually has some talent.

8. whew
Adam's performance was absolutely amazing tonight. Of course, it is every week. I like Allison and Danny too, but Adam just nailed this song.

11. I agree!
I predicted him as the winner from the first time I saw him. He really stands out from the rest in stage presence and originality.

I also agree on Anoop and Scott. Second tier, both of them.

12. He's definitely in a class by himself.
I hope he doesn't get sucked into hollywood and stays in theater, too.

13. I think he may win too
Last year, it was so obvious that it was going to be David vs. David in the finals. I feel the same this year about Adam and Danny. I'm almost positive it will be them in the finals.

15. I hate Scott
I hate him with a passion. I didn't like him in the first few rounds of the show either. The fact that Paula and Kara felt intimidated because he was blind to not being able to say something negative kind of makes me hate him even more. If anyone of the other 7 had sung that shitty they would have made it clear that they did. And Randy saying the vocals were OK was a very generous gift. His falsetto was ridiculous and embarrassing. For far to much of the song his pitch wasn't even just on the edge of the pocket but just damned flat. And his articulation is a joke. You can't do all of your end consonant sounds in your throat you frickin' idiot. And his reactions during comments made it very clear that he has had a lifetime of nobody saying anything negative about him. He didn't even know what to do when Simon stated the truth which was that it sucked. And his guitar playing was silly and not very good.

Whew...I feel better now.
