Is that album for me.

It always fits - whether I'm pissed off at the world, flying high or ready to crawl into my shell.

What's your album?

9. Wow--your pick would be one of mine.
"in the pines, in the pines,
where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night though."

Also, I like their version of "The Man Who Sold the World" better than Bowie's. I dunno. I think it's the voice Bowie does that song in, vs. Cobain's real straight read. And the guitar kills on that version. (That's one of my weird things, like where I like Gun's N Roses' "Live and Let Die" better than McCartney's because they seemed to work it harder.)

Also, Warren Zevon's "Sentimental Hygeine." "Reconsider Me" might be one of my favorite songs. If I'm out drinking though, I just load the jukebox with Rolling Stones ("Paint it Black", "Sympathy for the Devil" --I know--cliche, but I'm a *maudlin* drunk) and the Dead Milkmen.

It's like no matter what mood I'm in I can always put on songs on that album and be in a good mood.

And whenever I'm really pissed off I love to turn on some Rage Against The Machine.

42. Glad you asked. This will forever be my favorite album:

It took me through so many car trips, college, girlfriends, you name it. It hits me on a personal basis. Every song on that album is perfection to me (so much so that I can't even name my favorite because they are all great). I actually break my own rule when I listen to it and actually sing along (although only by myself).
