Oh crap, I was messing around on a dating site and found my old flame
I did not even recognize him at first, but all of it began to add up. There is no doubt it is him.
Unfortunately, he automatically receives a notice with my picture that I viewed his profile.

Either it was a very old picture or he has had "work done".
We dated for 9 years and I have not seen him for 12. He looked younger than when I first met him!
Wait a sec...he states he is 50 on the site...OMG, what a friggin lie!

Crap crap crap.

1. I use a dating site that has that "who's viewed you feature" too
Might be the same one. On the site I go to you can turn that feature off, but you won't be able to see who has viewed you either. If he contacts you just don't respond.

2. I had been suggested to turn the feature on, which I did...
My timing just sucked.

I just wish I had not seen him, and wish he did not see me.

Damn, he HATED the internet, so I never dreamed I would run into him.

3. I just dbl checked and he says he is 50...he is at LEAST 61
Edited on Sun Mar-29-09 12:33 AM by Digit
I always suspected he was much older even when I dated him. At functions we would attend, he was often mistaken for my father for crying out loud! I would really guess he is 65 at the very least.

I am 57 and put the lowest age as 50...

Day-um, am I being naive by putting my true age in my profile?

4. Be honest. You are much more likely to find someone who really digs you
If you are honest about your age and appearance and everything in your profile basically. I've had 3 dates from a web site and all three women had misrepresented themselves in some way. Mostly with the way they looked, but one woman turned up for the date looking much older than her pics as well.

5. My pictures are from last month
But I wonder since I am 57 if I should lower the age I would accept from 50 to 47-48....especially if guys are lying about their age. I am wondering if I am the only one being honest, ya know?

I don't look my age...but I will admit I just feel it from time to time.

6. I put my real age on the dating sites.
The main problem I see with it is that I'm now in my fifties and I think a number of men don't extend their age range over 50, thus my profile won't appear in their searches. But I still think it's best to be honest.
