1. Just got thru
chipping the last of the ice out of my neighbors driveway....it's been there since the snow plow pushed that wet slush up there last Friday evening...then it froze solid....had to chip it with an ice scraper and THEN shovel it! Heavy crap!

Floridians: I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!

6. It was me....I said that spring was here and he heard me
I'm Mister White Christmas
I'm Mister Snow
I'm Mister Icicle
I'm Mister Ten Below
Friends call me Snow Miser,
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
I'm too much!

Friends call me Snow Miser,
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch

I never want to see a day
That's over forty degrees
I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!

4. this is what you do
and i am further north than you.

You get a packet of seeds and some cups and a bag of potting soil.

You plant the flower seeds and perhaps some of the veggie seeds in these plastic cups that you have filled up with the potting soil.

You plant the seeds. Look it can be any kind of flower.

You place a newspaper over the top of all of these cups for at least three days., Soon you will see some activity and life.

You then take those cups and nurture them in your most sunny window. You look outside and see that three or four inches of snow has fallen today on the eighth of March.

But, you can look at those seeds that are sprouting in your window and it gives you hope!!!

You know that you have started something that will live in your garden!

Anyone up for a meetup?

Take heart, ZomyWoof will be shivering, if just a tadlet...

7. heheh I feel your pain
I'm just outside o' boston. It didn't stop snowing all day. Ugh. And it wasn't happy snow. It was shitty, dirty, slushy snow. God, I should have moved to California ages ago.

8. Don't you just love that heavy wet stuff?
Can't use a snow blower and need a steroid perscription to be able to lift a shovel-full.

Why do we do this to ourselves?

9. What Noreaster?
If it does happen -- I hope we get a lot of snow -- I wouldn't mind one more sledding day before calling it quits this winter. Plus -- the longer the snow is on the ground the longer I have before I become a golf widow. That is my bright side to this.

14. Would this be the right thread to mention our record high????
We hit 90 degrees in Redondo Beach, CA today, shattering the previous record for this date by 8 degrees.

It was only 85 yesterday, went on a whale watching cruise, then laid out on the beach all afternoon!
