4. 4th ed does not suck.
In fact I find it better and easier then 3.5. Most of the gamers I know like 4th ed better than 3.5.

5. That's like saying that a punch in the mouth hurts less than a kick in the scrotum
No one likes 3.5. But everything I've seen of 4th makes it look like Munchkin heaven, tailored specifically for WoW junkies.

And where the hell are the Gnomes?!? Tieflings? Puh-leeze!

Call me old skool, I guess.

8. There's PHB 2.0 for 3.5 i believe
and 4th edition is NOT D&D. It's a MMRPG game retrofitted for a pen/paper RPG with the D&D name slapped on it.

6. Nope, only picked up the original 4E books
My campaign in 3.5E is still going strong and is over 18 months old now. I have no time to read the 4E books...

Hopefully, we'll finish up the campaign over the summer and then decide if we move on to 4E, Pathfinder or stick with 3.5.

7. I wrote a Fortran character generator in 1978 - that's the last computer D&D effort I've embraced.
I have three teen daughters who love Magic The Gathering - new form of an old concept.

10. Avoiding it.
I got the first out of curiosity, found that it was missing the barbarian, the bard, the gnome and the half-orc, and lost most of my interest. Every character class is designed to be a battle monster, and there are no options to trade off combat prowess for other skills. D&D4 seems to be a great pen-and-paper version of a MORPG, but that's not the sort of thing that I like to play.

But the Warlord class powers are pretty damned cool.
